A couple weeks ago my wife and I had the privilege to return to Honduras to visit some of the orphanages that we support through our Charity Drive in partnership with Rice Bowls. It's been awesome to be able to develop deeper relationships with the kids each time we visit. From endless piggy back rides, to playing soccer and basketball, to just hanging out with them while they make fun of our terrible Spanish, it was an exhausting week but I wouldn't trade it for anything. As you can see from the photos these kids are full of energy!
From the outside it may seem illogical to take a whole week off when there's so much work to get done and emails piling up, but I can't even tell you how refreshing it is to step away from my desk and be 100% present serving these kids.
One thing I've learned in life and running a business is that our lives will always be busy and only get busier. Sometimes you just have to force yourself to break away and do the things that you "hope to get around to" someday. Whether that's helping at an orphanage or visiting a family member you haven't seen in a while, you won't regret it.
Thanks to all of you who help us feed these beautiful kids and play a small part of something big!
