Just wanted to take a moment to recommend Fused Network to anyone out there looking for a web hosting provider. We moved Ugmonk to their servers a few months ago and their service has been outstanding! I have worked with a few other shared hosting providers in the past and always experienced regular outages and poor customer service.
On the other hand Fused really lives up to the high level of customer service that I expect and we strive for at Ugmonk. When first inquiring about their services. I was able to talk (on the phone) to one of the support representatives, Dave, who listened to what my needs were and actually recommended that I start off with the least expensive package and upgrade if needed. Dave didn't rush me off the phone even though it was Saturday night, but rather made sure all my questions for fully answered and explained things that I didn't even think to ask.
Unlike some other companies, the help doesn't stop once you become a customer. When we had an unexpected burst of traffic and reached our bandwidth limit, they raised the limit no questions asked and without money changing hands. Of course the extra bandwidth was just a temporary fix, but they let me take my time identifying what upgrades I needed to make before I had to pay any additional charges.
Overall the servers have been very stable. There have been a few short blips which are to be expected in a shared server environment, but usually I get a notification from Fused about the issue before I ever realize there's a problem and then the problem is fixed rapidly. Once the issue is resolved (or even during the issue) they will explain the exact technical issue and what steps they are taking to resolve it. They also let their clients know about what maintenance and upgrades are being done to the servers instead of just hiding behind the terminology "world class servers." This transparency is unmatched among low-cost web hosting companies and is invaluable in my mind.
If you check out their plans, yes, they don't offer unlimited space, bandwidth, etc for $5/month, but that's because you get what you pay for. I would argue you get more than what you pay for with Fused. They are a quality hosting provider run by quality people with reasonable prices. If you're looking for a host for your new website or you're fed up with your current provider check them out at www.fusednetwork.com.
